The introduction of new formulations of hydraulic cements eliminated the technique sensitivity associated with their manipulation, allowing them to be applied successfully in various clinical situations in a predictable way.
The premixed forms of bioactive Bioceramics showed, not only predictable and successful outcomes, but also short chairside time of the treatment performed which enabled the clinician to use these materials easily in difficult situations such as, apical plugs, perforation repairs, filling of challenging root canal systems, external resorption repair and retrofills.
The aim of this lecture is to classify Bioceramics based on clinical indications/use and demonstrate each and every clinical situation in which the material can be used as well as the material performance based on recalls showing how the tissues react in the presence of these materials.
